For best results, apply in shade or when the surface is cool to the touch. Hot surfaces can cause the product to dry too quickly before you can buff it out.

Close the port door first, then spray the towel instead of the car and wipe the door and the panel around it. Never spray into the port, and do not put anything wet on the contacts inside. If debris works its way into the port itself, a puff of compressed air is the right tool.
